Irwin Tools Tradesman Challenge
April 8 2010 marked the launch of the Irwin Tools Ultimate Tradesman Challenge in Australia.
WorldSkills Australia was also involved in the Launch. Three of Australia's skills elite were involved in the various trade based challenges and the weather cross.
Channel 7 Breakfast television show, Sunrise broadcast live weather crosses from the launch of the challenge at Waterfront City, Docklands from 6am-9am.
Getting into the spirit of competition, 2010 WorldSkills Australia National Competition Competitors John Dagher (Carpentry) and Lukas Page (Joinery) and 2007 Skillaroo, Simon Buchanan (Lanscape Gardening) challenged the clock to complete trade based activities such as sawing and drilling in record speed.
Simon was interviewed by Grant Denyer on his experiences competing nationally and at the WorldSkils International Competition in Japan in 2007.
Simon, Lukas and John did a fantastic job and were great representatives from WorldSkills Australia. Stay tuned for the media clips!
